Parkways For Pollinators Updates

Hello Environmental Stewards!

This Spring marked the first season of Parkways for Pollinators gardens. Thanks to the help of Loyola University Chicago's Urban Agriculture Program and dedicated leaders here at EEC, we were able to send out hundreds of native plants to nearly 40 sites across Chicago.

You may have seen the Native Plants silver stakes which say Edgewater Environmental Coalition with a QR code to our website. Every site that you see with that stake is affiliated with this awesome program! While the initial distribution of the native plant seedlings has taken off, we now watch and wait as the first set of natives grow and bring pollinator attention with them. We hope to grow this program in the coming years, and a big thanks to everyone who has helped make 38 public sites in Chicago go from barren to garden!
