Hello EEC friends, community members, and environmental stewards!
This is our monthly pre-meeting general newsletter. We hope to see you on March 14th on-line or in person at 6018|North. On the agenda are updates and discussion on our 2024 campaigns and coalition updates. We'll also receive a presentation about the Green Social Housing Campaign. The second half the meeting will be dedicated to a Parkways for Pollinators Planning Meeting. All are welcome to share and contribute or just listen and learn. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Now for some special call outs from our friends and partners,
1) Join EEC at the 3rd and final 2024 48th Ward Participatory Budgeting Meeting, 3/18 5:30p @ Raven Theatre, info on this calendar. Join to share your voice on what green space, environment, streets & pedestrian infrastructure, youth/schools, and arts/culture public infrastructure projects should be funded in the 48th Ward. This was a top priority from EEC for Alderwomen Manaa-Hoppenworth, so please help us show support and engagement with the process!
2) The Edgewater Mutual Aid Network's fiscal sponsor is shutting down and last day to accept donations until they can find a new sponsor is March 15th. If you have anything to spare it would go a long way to helping us continue to support the community! Our aim is to raise $9,000 before the shut off. Donate now!
Our monthly meetings take place at 6:30 PM every second Thursday of the month, and they are all posted on Events.
