Hello EEC friends, community members, and environmental stewards! We hope to see you at our 6/8 monthly meeting at 6:30PM. On the agenda: Updates on Edgewater Metra Station,& Good City Group, Friends of the Park Seed Grant, resiliency workshops, stewardship info, and park 599 and 559 updates. Please join us and you are welcome to share and bring updates and shares of your own to the group. We look forward to seeing you soon! Our monthly meetings take place at 6:30 PM every second Thursday of the month, and they are all posted on Upcoming Events. Our next meeting will take place on July 13th.

Annual Summer Solstice Event
Join us this year at our annual Summer Solstice Event! Meet at Berger Park at 5:30PM for a Bioblitz workshop where we train people to conduct local biodiversity assessments of various plants and animals in their own neighborhood as a celebration of national pollinator week! Then, we will start our walk from Berger Park towards the Meditation Point to survey heritage trees & plant IDs along the way. When we arrive at the meditation point around 7PM, we will meet up with anyone else joining us for a green witch ritual and gathering for the solstice! We hope to see you all there!

Congratulations to the Church of the Atonement team for being awarded the Climate Infrastructure Grant in its first round of funding for the full $250,000 amount. We are so excited for them to be supported in this work!

Edgewater Yard Sale
The Edgewater Yard and Sidewalk Sale will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 9am to 5pm. Shop over 200 household and business yard and sidewalk sales; you never know what treasures you will find! Participating households and businesses will be found between Foster to Devon and Clark to Sheridan. Don’t miss out on this long-running Edgewater tradition. If you are a resident and wish to participate, please fill out the online form HERE. The deadline to register is 5/26/2023 to be on the printed map. Registrations received between 5/27-6/2 will be included on the online map only.
