The Edgewater Environmental Coalition (EEC) runs a Litter Free Edgewater campaign,

where we support community members who volunteer to clean and maintain a block — fondly referred to as "Blockheads" — on the last Saturday of every month. We started this in honor of the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

EEC provides resources, direction, organizing, and community for this effort. You are the boots on the ground, taking the initiative yourself — and maybe getting neighbors involved, too!
