Local volunteers formed EPIC in 2023 with a focus on the Sheridan Road parks between Granville and Ardmore. Berger Park has an active Advisory Council but the smaller parks have had no base of community support for their development. EPIC promotes nature-based solutions to shoreline protection.

Our initial focus is Park 559 at 6151 N. Sheridan, where we are proposing to create an ornamental garden. Recently we added numerous pots full of bright flowers to beautify the area until the Park District allows planting in the ground. EPIC welcomes neighbors who want to get their hands in the soil and make things bloom.
